Abstracts should be registered electronically to www.lspp.net until June 30, 2008. The author will receive an e-mail confirming the receipt of the abstract. This registration is valid for the three events: IV Latin American Congress of Photobiology and Photomedicine, XXXIII Jornada Gaúcha de Dermatologia, and XXV Jornada de Dermatologia do Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre.
The abstract should be written within the on line format limits, one per work, following the required writing and dimension instructions. Abstracts that do not conform to the required instructions will not be accepted.
Requirements for making posters and abstracts are:

• Introduction;
• History and clinical manisfestation;
• Lab Tests ( histopathology, immunology, etc);
• Therapeutics and results;
• Discussion/Conclusion;
• Justification for the presentation .

• Introduction and  justification;
• Materials and methods;
• Results;
• Discussion/Conclusion.

Abstracts will be evaluated anonymously by a special committee according to the established criteria.
A total of 200 posters will be exhibited in the IV Latin American Congress of Photobiology and Photomedicine, XXXIII Jornada Gaúcha de Dermatologia, and XXV Jornada de Dermatologia do Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre. The Evaluation Committee will be selecting the ones in accordance with the principles established for the events.
Works will be divided in 2 groups for awards: A) Case report and B) Investigation works.

Each work should include: “Case Reports, 1 (one) author and a maximum of 4 (four) co-authors. For the “Investigation Works”, 1 (one) author, and a maximum of 6 co-authors.
Abstracts that exceed the number of authors per category will not be accepted.
For the Brazilian works, it is important to fill in with the entire author’s information mainly his/her full name and CPF for the National Accreditation Commission (NAC).

After August 2, 2008, the professional refereed in item “Presenter” will be sent an Acceptance Communication.

Only presenters who have registered for the Congress can submit the abstracts.

Abstracts will be published in the official program exactly as they were sent. Alternations made in the text after that will not be accepted, as well as the name of the authors and co-authors.

The dimensions of the poster are: 90 cm wide X 120 cm high, including the title, authors, and the institutional addresses.

• the title should be typed in LARGE letters right below the upper sheet with no left margin.
• each author’s name starts by the last name followed by the other initials (e: Oliveira, MP) written in sequence starting with the main authors followed by his/her collaborators. Do not underline the names or use titles.
• following the last name, type the name of the institution, city, and state.
• any kind of sponsorship should be referred on the bottom of the poster. Medication cited should be identified by its chemical name.

When submitting the work for evaluation, the author(s) should be aware that in case he/she is selected, he/she should reserve the right to the Organizing Committee of the IV Latin American Congress of Photobiology and Photomedicine, XXXIII Jornada Gaúcha de Dermatologia, and XXV Jornada de Dermatologia do Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre to publish the abstract. This publication format will be defined; it can be in the official program, in a CD special supplement or on the SBD site, according to the event technical-financing viability.

The award will be granted to the posters which have at least one SBD dermatologist member among the author (s) or the equivalent accepted in other countries, and has fulfilled his/her membership obligations.
Two investigation works and two case reports will be granted awards.

At the end of the event, only one work presented will receive a certificate with the name of all the authors included in the abstract.
